1st-3rd July 2016
over the last weeks we have worked hard to create a special program to make this years Beat of Berlin (BoB) a culinary blast! This year we will show you Berlin’s cuisine with all its facets.
Some parts of Berlin are strongly influenced by North African and Turkish cultures. So Friday night (07/01/2016) we’re going to start with a welcome dinner in a “1001-nights-like” Moroccan restaurant. While typical Moroccan dishes are served on big plates, you will get in touch with other Jaycees easily.
On Saturday (07/02/2016) we’re going to have a culinary tour through one of Berlin’s hip and exciting districts. During this tour you can explore different tastes in small cafés and restaurants and learn some interesting fun facts about Berlin and this district.
Afterwards, we’re going to invite you to meet young entrepreneurs of a Berlin startup who invented a special type of smoothie. They are happy to meet us and to tell us about their company – from their first idea to future plans.
After dressing up it is time to get to the JCI Berlin “Sommerfest” (summer party). This is an official event for all Jaycees of Berlin and their families. You will have the possibility to network with more Berlin Jaycees in a nice atmosphere at the shore of lake “Wannsee” and to enjoy a German-Mediterranean BBQ. When the “Sommerfest” is over and you are still in the mood for dancing after this eventful day, come and get to know Berlin’s club scene.
On Sunday (07/03/2016), it is finally time to get some typical German-Alpine food: Enjoy an alpine brunch with Bavarian sausages, pretzels, “Kaiserschmarrn” pancakes and much more tasty delicacies.
We hope you will like our culinary program and we are looking forward to (m-)eating with you!
If you have further questions please don`t hesitate to contact us!

We are expecting approx. 20 – 30 Jaycees from our twinning partners (Bern, Vienna, Osaka, Ankara and London). Jaycees from other countries are welcome as well.
How can I register for Beat of Berlin 2016?
Please send an email to Jana – please include your name, your JCI chapter and your invoice address. The payment is possible only via bank transfer. Bank fees have to be paid by the participant. Tickets are limited.

The rate is EUR 119,00 for the first 16 participants (registered and paid on time) and EUR 139,00 for late bookers. It includes all the meals (that means one drink during the welcome dinner, all drinks during the “Sommerfest” and one hot drink during brunch on Sunday) and program, items described above. Accommodation, public transport, additional beverages and admissions to clubs are not included.
When should I register for BoB 2016?
You should register for BoB 2016 as soon as possible. We are working on a first-come, first-served basis and tickets are limited. (Maximum capacity: 30 Jaycees)
What types of tickets will be available?
Because the aim of BoB is to show the city of Berlin with its diversity and characteristics, to network and to create international friendships between participants, we want to stay together as one group during the entire event. Therefore only full BoB tickets will be available, no 1-day tickets.
When will the detailed program be ready?
The detailed program will be sent 4 weeks prior to the event.
Can all participants get home hospitality?
Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to offer all of you home hospitality. If you are interested in home hospitality, please contact us and we will try to match you with a local Jaycee for accommodation on a first-come, first-served basis.
Are we’re going to visit the typical Berlin sights during BoB?
As we have a special BoB topic each year, we will concentrate on this and hereby will show you spots that most tourists would miss. If you want to see the main sights also, there will be time for you to do so on Friday before this year’s BoB- kickoff and Sunday after the brunch. Please note that this will be on your own clock and budget, but we are more than happy to help you with information and tour planning. Just ask!
